The Rest of the Story
So, having acquired an "early exposure to jazz," on a date with a southern California DJ for a small local radio station, I decided to impress him with my vast knowledge of jazz by waxing eloquently about Cal "T" Jader. He promptly set me straight: "It's Cal Jader." Ooops! Once burned, twice learned.
When I was in high school I broke up with my boyfriend, Jesus. He wanted his stupid, ugly ring back and me...I just wanted my Dave Brubeck, Time Out album returned.
In my life I've waited tables, raised sons, taught school, published books, and railed at politicians. I'm building a house, next to my son, where I can spend time with my granddaughter. I read, write, and dream about being immortal.

Time Out is still my favorite album of all time! Thank goodness you got it back.
Yeah, and speaking of stupid...I probably sold it at the flea for a quarter.
