George Sand 1804-1876
As a young mom, I was enthralled with the biography of George Sand, a woman who ignored custom and expectations, married, had children, divorced, took lovers, changed her name to fit her self image, published novels, and lived well. Happy birthday George!
She took care of a poet who died young, ce n'est pa? but my crumbling mind cannot recall his name. I wish I have your energy. Keep it up, so I will be prodded to work my blogs.
In my life I've waited tables, raised sons, taught school, published books, and railed at politicians. I'm building a house, next to my son, where I can spend time with my granddaughter. I read, write, and dream about being immortal.
