My father spent 12 years in the military, mostly as an aviation mechanic. He enjoyed his work and often wished he had made it a career. Thank you Daddy, for your service.

The 1st time I met my dad I was 3 years old and he walked up the steps to the house, wearing an army uniform. He'd been overseas since before my birth. I thought he was about 12 feet tall and very dashing, (apparently my mother wasn't quite so taken. They divorced shortly after.)Coop (btw: I'm signing all future comments, "Fred".
Dear Fred,
I was about 4 when I saw my Dad, perhaps not for the first time, but my earliest memory. I always thought he was totally handsome.
My best,
Ethel
