For Mothers Everywhere

As a child, I accompanied my family to church every Sunday. On Mothers' Day, they gave a red rose to the mothers in the congregation, and a white rose to the family whose mother had passed away.

Today, in that spirit of honoring mothers, I offer these roses to honor the mothers who have no family or friends and to those who live in that forgotten space between life and death.

Thank you. I was never able to reach my mom or sister this weekend. So it felt good to at least make a statement.
